Today I’m joining Michele at Shelstring Blog for a blog hop of Fall Tours! Check out her pretty Fall Home here.
Welcome to Part 3 of my Fall Home Tour. I’m excited to be joining with some other bloggers today, sharing our Fall Homes. I still am way behind on having a Home Tour on my blog, so that will be something I need to get busy on in the near future. Stay tuned 🙂 As I mentioned in Part 2, I typically shop my house first for items to reuse or repurpose or add elements from nature for each season. After I do that, then I go to places like Home Goods or other home decor stores to fill in the gaps or update vignettes or spaces.
I kept the foyer very similar to last year’s version ( ok, it may be exactly the same ). I still love the way the peacock feathers, brass vase, and grayed green pumpkins look with the linen slipcovered table. ( you can see last year’s Fall Tour here )
Foyer
Living & Dining Room
I added a pumpkin made out of pinecones to a little table in the living room & some pheasant feathers to a container I painted gold.I really liked the way the green moss contrasted with the old crusty urn and pumpkins here and decided to repeat that in this space. The lamp on the round table topped with burlap has been painted since last Fall, but I’m still not in love with the grayed green…thinking of repainting a shade of gray?! Blue & white accent pieces, stacked books, birds, & natural ball accents complete the look on this dining room table.
Kitchen
I replaced an old oil-rubbed bronze outdated chandelier last Spring with a new one from Home Depot ~love the pretty lines, but want to paint it, as well. Still undecided about a few things in the kitchen that I want to change, so that will have to wait for now. In the kitchen, I used more hydrangeas, white pumpkins, antlers, and mini twig orbs, keeping it neutral & rustically elegant. I love deep oranges, reds, and browns, but felt like doing white this year. Always fun to change things up, don’t you think?
I love the faux sticks with white lights that can be added to floral arrangements. They look beautiful at night or on a cloudy day.
Family Room
I added some new fabrics to the family room in the form of pillows and a slipcovered skirt for a bench ( serving as an ottoman currently ), painted the bookcases in all black ( you can see that full post here ) and kept the same mantle as last Fall with crow diecuts, large berries, and pinecones. Honestly, I think I’ve done the same thing the past 3 years, but who’s counting? I still love the way it looks 🙂 I finally added some more family pictures and gold frames to the gallery wall in this space and am so happy I did. I love seeing my boys and our family at our favorite beach location where I had some really good pictures taken professionally a few years ago. Really special!
That wraps it up for Fall around our home! If you missed Part 1 of the Fall Tour, click here, and for Part 2, click here. Thanksgiving is right around the corner which means so is Christmas decorating ( No, I’m not even close to being ready for that!! ) We still have about 3-4 weeks to mentally get psyched up, right?! 😉
