Coral & Gold Dresser-Turned- TV Console
Bonjour, Mes Amis!! I wanted to show y’all how the pretty girl turned out today. I’ve been showing sneak peeks here and there on social media of the dresser I painted this beautiful coral color. This color made me happy while painting. It was different! Not the usual white, cream, black, gray. Not that there’s a thing wrong with a good neutral, but sometimes color just breathes new life into a space, doesn’t it?
Here’s a before shot….I got this dresser for about $35 from a friend that was in my boot camp workout class a few years ago. It sat in my basement for 2 years while I tried to figure out where and how I wanted to use it. Interesting, I just realized that’s how long it’s been since I have done a hardcore workout routine. I’m sure there’s no correlation. Moving right along…
It’s beautiful and I love the sassy color and the gold accents!
Aw, thanks Kelley!!! It was a fun color & piece to paint and add to our bedroom!! Thanks for checking it out!! xxoo
Gorgeous, Melanie! I love coral and gold together!

Thanks so much, Jan!
oh Melanie! I love the color and the finish! The dark wax really does add a little something something, and the R&B around the edge – genius. It’s really such a pretty makeover!!
Hey, Lisa! Thanks, sweet friend!! I appreciate your kind words and you stopping by and commenting! 🙂
Wow so pretty! You know so much about the wax part… I have never done that before! Love the color – now show me a picture of the drawers you painted gold! 😉
Oh, Kelli! Would you believe I forgot to take photos of the drawer interiors? I will do that and update. I used Martha Stewart Living Metallic Paint in Vintage Gold sold at Home Depot! The dark wax can be tricky tricky, but it looks good used sparingly over clear wax!
Pretty, pretty, pretty! Such a great job!
Hi, Kris! Thank you so much for taking time to stop by! I appreciate your sweet words 🙂
GOOD JOB MELANIEO. i ALWAYS ENJOYED THE STRIPPING AND REFINISHING. I’M NOT AS SMART AS YOU WITH THE COLORS. TOO OLD TOO I THINK BUT EMILY IS INTO SUCH, OR AT LEAST CHAD.
some good tips there if one wants to try . THANKS FOR SHARING!
Thanks, Aunt Judy! I remember years ago painting a trunk that Grandmother gave me a teal color….Mom wasn’t sure she would approve… Lol!! I think that was back in the early 90’s? Thanks for visiting the blog!
