Hi there, Friends! Hope your Tuesday is going well. Today, I’m sharing my Fall Porch Tour with y’all. I thought I would break up my Fall Tour posts into 3 separate ones, so as not to bombard you with tons and tons of pictures. 😉 Part 1 will be the porch, Part 2, Fall Dining Table Settings, and Part 3 will be Fall accents added to our home. For the most part, I used what I had in my Fall storage stash and added a few natural accents like dried honeysuckle vines from the woods & dried hydrangeas from the yard, along with the addition of mums, pumpkins, & ornamental cabbage on the porch. I did add a few new things for the downstairs area like a couple of Pottery Barn pillow covers, a plaid runner for my dining room, new fabric for pillows in the family room, & some new blue and white bowls to mix in with my Mikasa English Countryside dishes. Hey, a girl’s got to update from time to time, right?!
The porch really didn’t need too much for Fall, so I kept it very simple. I added some magenta mums to accentuate the new front door paint color, along with heirloom pumpkins in grayed tones, and a few ornamental cabbages. Adding the orbs to the planters on either side of the front door has really taken the guesswork out of what to plant each season. Even alone or with simple boxwoods, they look great and I love that because it keeps it easy.
As some of you remember, the front door got an update recently in “Mermaid Net,” by Behr, a beautiful green blue shade that changes with the lighting and time of day.
Porch in the mid-morning light……
And in the late afternoon dappled light with shadows…..
I love the way the oil-rubbed bronze door hardware looks with the fall planters & pumpkins…..
Lady Head fountain before you walk up the stairs to the porch……
A few shots of the side porch…..
And the table setting that is still on the side porch for Fall that I shared with you here a few posts back….
We really enjoy our porch so much and for most of the year- it’s probably one of my favorite spaces in our home. Since these pictures were taken, the nights have gotten a bit cooler and the days still are warm and sunny, so the hanging ferns are losing their vigor. All the flowering plants are starting to bid farewell to their growing season, and it’s a little bittersweet…..We are still extremely fortunate to have the kind of weather that we do from April to October or November here in Atlanta and right now the weather is perfect!
Do you have a favorite outdoor space? What do you love most about it?
I cannot believe Halloween is Friday. We don’t even have a carving pumpkin yet. I noticed at the grocery yesterday they had like 5 pumpkins left. I may be throwing a few bones in the front yard, a skull, & a tombstone and calling it a day. That’s what happens when your former little pumpkin carvers turn into teenagers and don’t care about helping with Halloween anymore! HA!
Thanks for stopping by -Til next time!! xoxo
Part 2- Fall Table Settings, coming up next time! Please join me 🙂

October 29, 2014 at 12:48 amLooks great Melanie! I have fall stuff out, but not much Halloween. The older I get the less I want to switch out all the Halloween items, and the fall stuff carries into Thanksgiving! 🙂

October 29, 2014 at 12:54 amIt looks beautiful! We just carved our pumpkins last night. They were expertly “designed” by a 4 and 6 year-old so they look very….interesting. Haha!

Little did I know last year would be the last one they wanted to carve a pumpkin…I’m going to turn into that Mom that gives pretzels or Frosty coupons ( w/ no jack-o-lantern out front! ) bwahaha!!
