Spring came a few weeks early to North Georgia this year and it seems Easter sneaked in on its coattails! I started adding Spring touches to the house around the first of March, but my Easter table wasn’t finished until just a few days ago. Luckily, due to the fact that before Christmas, I found a really great blue and natural table runner and a set of 8 blue and white napkins ( you may remember it from my Christmas Tour here ), it came together relatively quickly! I am big on extending my textiles and accessories into the next seasons, as you may know if you have been visiting my blog or following me on social media for awhile. I like the idea of being able to easily change plates, flatware, & floral arrangements and give a tablescape a completely different look while using some of the same tablecloths, napkins, placemats or vice versa. I guess it’s alot like having a wardrobe with good basics that you can mix and match and get many different looks from while changing the shoes and accessories.
I left the tone on tone beige linen tablecloth I found at Home Goods last year, table runner, and blue & white napkins for this Easter table setting, but changed the salad plates, floral arrangement, and flatware. I added a pair of rabbits that I used in last year’s Easter table setting ( here ), pink tulips, grapevine birds nests, and bamboo flatware to create a rustic elegant Spring feel to the Dining Room. ( All sources listed at end of this post )
I found the large grapevine birds nests at Michaels and added moss and malted eggs in all white ( I bought about 8 bags at the Dollar Store and sorted out the whites and put the remainder in our candy jar- my men were so happy! 😉 ) Decorating with benefits.
I found these cute glass monogram tags that a client had given me as a gift and I had forgotten about, but love the little detail they add to the crystal goblets. They give them a bit of a rustic feel, as well.
A hare grain sack pillow I bought last year sits in a Ballard Designs Parsons chair used for additional seating….
Another view looking into the Living Room where I use coral & cream accents against the chocolate walls….
A vintage rabbit holding limes sits on an old antique round table covered in a long Ballard Designs burlap tablecloth….( I love long skirted tablecloths for hiding & storing items underneath! )
I’ll be sharing a furniture project that added alot of French Country character to our foyer soon, so I hope you’ll come back for that!
